My 1972 London Taxi
I had some very firm ideas of what i wanted to do with it, (PIMP IT) and i have done almost all of what i wanted, and now it's almost finished. I wanted it to stay looking original from the outside but brought kicking and screaming into the 21st century.
Geoff (the man i got it from) had the car and 2 others for over 20 years, I don't think he really knew what i had planned for it. I have taken a few pictures to show everyone what she is looking like now. This project has blown way out of budget but its well worth every cent i have spent on it. A totally unique vehicle like no other in the world.
Austin bonnet emblem (found in the Beenleigh markets on a Sunday morning..Love the Beenleigh markets)
Front Passengers side, i have another seat that i have not put back in yet, The roof liner is suede.
Front driver side, there wasn't much luxury given to the driver originally and the leg room is somewhat sparse, its a bit like driving a desk, it now has power leather seats from a Magna., power steering and Air-conditioning, so i have made it a nice as i can.
Dashboard and center console have been custom made (just like everything) to fit the air conditioning pipes for the rear compartment and controls and horn are above the vent.
Front stereo system, I have the same system in the rear compartment so passengers can watch a DVD or TV and i can still have my music in the front.(Hooked up to my ipod) when the glass partition is closed.
Rear compartment (Dead sexy don't you reckon)
Rear air con vents and stereo system, the DVD player is also connected to 2 extra screens, one in front and one in the rear. The flip down seats can also be seen (seats 5 in the rear compartment)
Previously you were not able to lock the rear doors because the lever could not be pushed up into the locking position, after some cleaver re-adjusting of the armrest, the locks now work and vehicle can be secured, finally i can get rid of the padlocks i locked it with in the past..
Engine bay with 4 ltr Ford XE falcon crossflow engine with a gas convertion and automatic gear box. God knows how they fitted the engine in.
Rear gas tank ,(Gas conversion by Dick Ralston Automotive) not a lot of boot space anymore, just enough room for a toothbrush.
One of the two amplifiers in the boot, 800 watt each. What did you say...Sorry cant hear you..
Reversing camera is wired to be on constantly, it can be seen under the "VINNIE" plate light.
All of the engine work and most of the internal customizing has been carried out by Steve from Oz-Rods, he is a total bloody legend. If he cant do it , it cant be done.

First Blob Entry
Hello Everyone and welcome to my Blog..
This my first blogg entry and I am still finding my feet so please bear with me, as I have only just opened my studio I am trying to build the business and make a name for myself in the local town and expanding out to the gold coast, things are starting to pick up coming into Christmas and I am doing a few family portraits and some baby photos, there is a lot of local business that I will be working with, hair dressers, dress makers, jewelry stores as well as make up and beauty salons, and wedding venues.
What I would like to offer for my wedding customers is a full service for all you would need for a very special day, everyone that i recommend would be because i have seen their work and would trust them to work closely with me to create a unique day for a bridal couple.
Hopefully in the new year i will be hosting a wedding expo that will allow couples to come and see what is available and to make informed decisions on what they need for their special day.
