Each year i decorate the house with Christmas lights, i tell people its for my daughter but to be honest i love it and there are at least 4 others in the street that do it. Its a bit of a challenge to beat the neighbors but each year they all get bigger and better so be sure to come back next year and see what has changed.
I was contacted by 1300marryus regarding advertising on there website, i have had various calls from people doing the same but the difference with this is that its a local business and Cathy actually came into my studio to discuss what business we could do together. I have decided to advertise with them as i believe that they will be a asset to couples who are organizing there weddings, the service is not just a web service but a phone service as well.
Graham is a member of my BNI chapter and he works for Elders and has the Business Insurance category.
Graham was trying to get a portrait of the kids as a surprise for his wife for Christmas, as we all know trying to keep something like that a secret is near impossible, so Grahams wife had the kids hair cut and dressed them up all nice for there portraits.
We were unsure if we were going to be able to do the shoot as there was a storm brewing and lightning flashing across the sky, I decided that we should go to a local park so that if the storm broke we wouldn't be far from the car.
As it happened it all worked out well and we were back at the car just before the rain started.
Kate is a make up artist that contacted me some time ago regarding working together on weddings, i was really impressed with her work and wont hesitate to recommend her to my future brides.
We also worked together on a project with the AIPP on a location shoot under the story bridge at night. Her make up was flawless.
Kate contacted me regarding getting some images done as she wanted to get back into modeling. Here are a few of the images we did. This shoot was done within 20 mtrs of my studio.
Renee & Brendon were married at Mt Cotton Rain Forest Gardens, and the weather did exactly the same thing as the last wedding i did there, sky's open as the Bride arrives and stop's as soon at they are pronounced Man & Wife. I am still claiming my 30 year record of never shooting a wedding in the rain.
Renee's Dads house was a joy to shoot in, great light and a lovely house.
Steve & Lynda got married on the beach in Adelaide, and had there reception at The Largs Bay Pier Hotel.
I have known Steve for many years and i consider him one of my closest friends. When he told me he was getting married i insisted on doing the photographs for him. I love to shoot weddings and to shoot one for such a friend as Steve was just a joy.
Lynda is from England (like myself) and because of the distance not all of her family members could attend the wedding, so i am going to upload some images to my Face book page, if you have face book you just need to become a fan of the page and you can view the images. Click this link.
I have been into photography for virtually all my life. One of my earliest memories is of my Dad setting up a studio in the lounge to take photos of me and my sister then making the kitchen into a dark room and printing till the early hours of the morning. He had a passion for photography the same way I do now. My dad gave me a camera and one lens for my 13th Birthday, after I showed him my first roll of film, he told me I had a talent for it. The whole of my working life has been consumed with the capture of image I have a wealth of experience in all types of photography, I have worked in Europe, America, Asia, The South pacific and Australia. I spent a few years traveling the world working as a photographer on cruise ships.I have shot weddings all over the world. Photographed postcards for the Gold coast and Vanuatu. The last 8 years i was working for Canon supporting professional photographers, retailers and news papers. Now it is time to use all that knowledge for my own business... I have opened my own studio and Gallery. My aim is to be the local contact for all photographic related business.
