A Ten minutes shoot, within 50 meters of my shop.

This was just a small exercise in what i could do in a short space of time with a complete novice model.

All the following images were shot in about 10 minutes, and within 50 Meters of my shop, this was also the first time in front of a camera for the model.

I have just bought a EOS1DS MKII

Vinnie got a new toy.

The 1 series cameras are the flagship camera of Canon's range. They are built for war zone photography, not that I will ever use it like that, they have weather seals so if it actually ever rains at a wedding I shoot, (Hasn't rained while I was shooting a wedding in 30 years ) I can continue shooting in the rain. That is starting not to sound so good any more...Think i might continue not to have rain at the weddings I shoot, although i am sure this luck will not last forever, but now I am prepared.

I am looking forward to getting out and shooting some images with it..

I will post some images soon.

GS Productions's Videos: Debbie's Trash the Dress shoot

Debbie's Trash The Dress Shoot

I have been hanging out to post these images, i had to attend a workshop yesterday and have only just got around to downloading the images.

So here are some images from my latest Trash the dress shoot, Debbie was really brave as the water was a little cold and i kept getting her to lay down and roll around. I had the shoot videoed by Geoff from G.S.Productions.

Geoff did a really great job, it was one of the worst days to shoot, it was late cold and spitting with rain but its hard to tell from the images and video.

Geoff From GS doing his stuff...We arn't afraid of getting wet

Just showing images as we create them is a great way to motivate the models to do more fun things.

Ok...well maybe i should not have showed her the images...

Nice tan line Debbie.

I was contacted by Specsavers regarding the photographing of there new store opening at the Logan Hyperdome, Specsavers is a British optometrists chain that are just opening in Australia.

The opening was very well attended and they were raising money for the Guide dogs for the blind as well as having discount specials they had face painting and a cartoonist to keep the kind entertained. Also Specsavers were doing a prize draw every half hour and the winner got a free pair of glasses.

Tangalooma Resort, Morton Island.

As a gift for my Birthday i was taken over to Tangalooma resort on Morton island for the weekend, although this is only an hour away by boat it seems like you have been dropped in a island in the south pacific. Tangalooma is a great resort, all you need is there and they have some really unique things to do.

Wild dolphin feeding, Quad bike riding, Para-sailing, jet ski's, you name it they have it. The weather could have been a bit better but this is winter and you have to expect that its not going to be brilliant but it didnt stop us enjoying our weekend.
