I was asked to photograph some Gem stones by a local collector, he has found all the stones over the last few years, he has also cut and polished them his self.
Cassandra & Gavin got married at The Kruger Baptis church in Redbank on Saturday. I arrived at the church and Gavin was there getting everything ready for the service. It was a very relaxed atmosphere with kids running around and the groomsmen playing up, Cassandra arrived and was greeted by gasps from the guests, she looked wonderful, a beautiful dress and was draped in a lovely Vail.
After the service we went to The Pan Pacific Gardens for some photos, it was a huge bridal party with 4 bridesmaids 4 groomsmen 4 page boys and a flower girl, i am sure there was more at the church so i guest we lost some along the way.
I have never shot an Aboriginal couples wedding before, but i am looking forward to the next one, considering the amount of people everyone was keen to play there part to help get the best photos.
I had a great time and I would like to thank Gavin, Cassandra and there friends for making us so welcome and for the help they all provided.
Christina contacted me to do some casual beach family photos, we decided on the Gold Coast Spit as it had a great beach and was dog friendly, Georgie is part of the family and should be part of the photos.
Kristy & Michael had their first date and got engaged, and then got married at the same venue.
Kristy looked amazing and the bride’s maids dresses really made the bride stand out even more. Although due to some fires at the coast the visibility was not the best it was still a wonderful location to have wedding photos done.
Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) held one of there ' On the lounge" events at my studio last week, its an open invitation to members to come along to a studio and see how other people run there business.
Grant from Couplertec asked me to photograph there new range of product, the units offered up some challenges as they were mirror finish and reflected everything in the studio, I built a white tent from boards polystyrene sheets and white back drop. ...As you can see there are no reflections. Happy customer, happy photographer. We aim to please.
I had the great privilege of photographing a wedding in Canberra last weekend, what a great location for wedding photography. Rachel & Silas met at university in Canberra so it hold a special place for them.Even thought it was freezing (for a Queenslander) we got some amazing images, the wedding was far from traditional but suited Canberra's moden style.
I am a bad blogger...I know..I know.. I will be blogging again early next week got a couple of weddings and glamour shoots to up load, so stay tuned...
I have been into photography for virtually all my life. One of my earliest memories is of my Dad setting up a studio in the lounge to take photos of me and my sister then making the kitchen into a dark room and printing till the early hours of the morning. He had a passion for photography the same way I do now. My dad gave me a camera and one lens for my 13th Birthday, after I showed him my first roll of film, he told me I had a talent for it. The whole of my working life has been consumed with the capture of image I have a wealth of experience in all types of photography, I have worked in Europe, America, Asia, The South pacific and Australia. I spent a few years traveling the world working as a photographer on cruise ships.I have shot weddings all over the world. Photographed postcards for the Gold coast and Vanuatu. The last 8 years i was working for Canon supporting professional photographers, retailers and news papers. Now it is time to use all that knowledge for my own business... I have opened my own studio and Gallery. My aim is to be the local contact for all photographic related business.
